Compilatie cu piese banate de catre BBC

"This Record Must Not Be Broadcast: Banned By The BBC" este titlul unei noi compilatii ce va fi lansata pe 25 august la Acrobat Records. Materialul include o selectie de piese banate de-a lungul anilor de catre cenzorii postului de radio BBC.

De-a lungul anilor, Dance Music Policy Committee a decis ce piese sa fie difuzate la radio, si ce piese sa nu fie difuzate, din varii motive: referinte religioase, denumirea unor brand-uri comerciale, elemente luate din muzica clasica si multe altele.

Scriitorul si DJ-ul Spencer Leigh a petrecut o perioada considerabila de timp in arhivele BBC din Caversham, cautand fisierele Dance Policy Committee. Alaturi de alti critici si jurnalisti muzicali, Spencer Leigh a lansat o compilatie cu o colectie impresionanta de piese banate de-a lungul anilor.
