Matthew Dekay a crescut intr-o familie in care muzica era la loc de cinste. Matthew si-a inceput cariera muzicala la o varsta frageda, iar primele tendinte spre muzica au fost la varsta de 5 ani, cand a inceput sa ia lectii de pian.

Matthew ramane unul dintre artistii proeminenti ai stilului progresive trance si trance, muzica ce l-a consacrat si careia i-a ramas fidel.
