Biografie Alin Prada

A dans and music enthusiast, in the 80’s – 90’s, he chose to be in the ”electro-clasic” time - a break dancer, and a rookie DJ, considering the existing technology in Romania at that time.With time he crossed from brake dance moves to a more abstract and electric dance. This way he got to perform in a contemporaneous dancing team led by master choreographer Raluca Ianegic on stage of Odeaon Theatre from Bucharest. For five years he transposed the word into motion using abstract and repetitive gestures to songs of famous composer like : Michael Nyman, Ravi Shankar, Dead Can Dance, Hans Zimmer, Loreena McKennitt, Chopin, Philip Glass, Schumann, Mozart, Jethro Tull, Klaus Schulze, Kraftwerk, in the mean time accumulating a diverse and vast knowledge. In parallel with the acting performance, the constant desire of artistic display pushed him to go back to the old passion, being a DJ. This time with a more complex technology allowed him to mix, in a way that was hard some times to understand, all he knew and all that inspired him from clasic and modern music. A milestone in his development and define as a Dj was the co-operation with club Space being resident between 2001-2002 known under the name of Dj ALL. Here he had the opportunity to mix beside high rated world wide Dj’s of electronic music like : Hybrid, Snoopy, Margaret Dygas, Corvin Dalek, Sander Kleinenberg, Tim Sheridan, Pat Duff. His career followed up with a series of collaborations with more clubs through out the country and from Bucharest. He was invited to perform as Dj to Colours and Wings after-hours clubs. He is impressed by the work and technique of some Dj’s like : The Grandmaster Flash, Kool Herc from the electro-break-hip hop branch, but also from the house-tehno-minimal branch : Tim Sheridan, Carl Cox, James Zabiela, Ricardo Villalobos, Kenny Dope, Lee Burridge. He is an avowed fan of vinyl mixing. Starting with the ideea that nothing is new, everything is repeating, he is looking though for new sounds wich he will combine in a new and personal version with samples from clasic, modern and also traditional music. Recently with Miss dj Mara is working at the new project CROMOZOMI. In the future he wishes to meet an opened crowd and with more patiente because he likes long sets.
