The DJ:
Portuguese deck maestro, Marc Vedo is a DJ with a pedigree of years of experience, and is still only 27. A most sought after DJ, with his own club brand blowing up dance floors across the UK and a soaring international career playing regularly for the biggest names in the scene. Marcs been making a lasting impression on clubbers everywhere with his uplifting funky sounds and his peak time hard trance sets. Having risen from the South West of England, to become one of its biggest exports to dance music, playing at many of the worlds leading club brands from Godskitchen and Ministry of Sound to UK festivals such as Homelands and Escape in the park. Marc is now regarded by many as one of the UKs leading DJs in his field of trance, a tag that is quickly making him a world wide floorfiller and mainstay on the international circuit. His trademark sets of hard tech-trance and quality uplifting house music have seen Marcs Djing capture mass appeal from dance floors and their audiences across the globe. Anyone who has ever experienced one of his creative sets can relate to his fast paced, energetic and uplifting sounds. His hard trance sets fuses tough, techno beats with the more melodic and tech sounds of trance, yet with house his sets consist of a driven funky beats, through to tough and chunky house grooves with elements of a twisted disco funk variety. Marcs sets are a testament to his experience and knowledge of to rock and keep rocking a crowds night.

Combine this with his incredible technical ability, and it is easy to see what prompted Mixmag to dub him the next Sasha a few years back, all in all some would say Marc has the complete package and the makings of a modern day superstar DJ.

A bit premature perhaps for such a young fledgling talent, but DMC also recognized the potential and were the first agency to sign him, along side Naughty but Nice giving Marc his first high profile club residency. Sundissential were next recruiting Marc as a full resident, with Miss Moneypennies and Slinky following suit shortly after. Marcs residency with the legendary Miss Moneypennies lasted for 5 years and Slinky for 3 years. Over the last few years he has also featured regularly both home and abroad for many of the best organisations in the global dance scene such as Ministry of Sound, Serious, Lashed, Escape, Progress, Dance Academy, Transaction, Urban Bug, The Candy Store, Time Flies and Cream. The next stage in Marcs career involves bringing KoolWaters to an even greater global audience. To further this goal, Marc and KoolWaters have teamed up with Red Parrot DJ Agency, whose international experience will help to cement Marc Vedo as an international DJ and KoolWaters has a leading global event organisation.

Though he will continuing to feature in the plans of Koolwaters Artist Management, Marc will be joining such globe-trotters such as Boy George, Lisa Loud and Brandon Block as he becomes part of Red Parrots Artists roaster.

Since 2000, Marc has played a variety of UK festivals from Glastonbury to Virgins V2 events, 2000 also saw Marc play at all three of Slinkys Westpoint Arena events in Exeter. Each event saw Marc play to an audience crowd of 7000 alongside some of the industrys biggest stars in Carl Cox, Judge Jules and Ferry Corsten. On New Years Eve 2003 Marc played, in his own words my biggest gig to date, headlining for Ministry of Sound. His set saw him play to the beautiful backdrop of Nairobi beach and to a crowd size 2000 strong. Marc spent much of 2004 on the road touring the global with KoolWaters, as he helped to expand the club further afield. Marcs travels saw him feature across 6 continents alongside artists such as Sander Kleinenberg, Ferry Corsten, Sister Bliss and Boy George.

August 2004 Marc saw being booked to play the closing set in the Nukluez hard dance arena at Wales biggest dance festival Escape in the Park.

Having been demonstrating his ability at the highest level, both at home in the UK and on the international circuit for many years, It is it is no wonder he has been making a lasting impression on clubbers everywhere with his uplifting funky sounds and peak time hard trance selections. Having played across the four corners of the globe for the last 6 years, Marc has steadily developed a strong and loyal fan base none more so than those who attend Koolwaters events. The reaction he gets from the crowd often outshines the big name guest DJs and which is a testimony of his popularity with the Koolwaters faithful.

Sasha better watch out, Marc is not going to be a resident for long - Mixmag

The Promoter:
As musical director of KoolWaters Marc has spent the last four years pioneering the clubs trance based image KoolWaters, by both promoting and Djing full time for the club. However recently the club has taken the opportunity to explore many different possibilities, themes and ideas. Though only in its infancy, this new direction for KoolWaters, has seen Marc book and play along side many of the scenes biggest and best house DJs, earning the club a wider audience and further acclaim by all reputable dance and culture magazines. Over the last four years KoolWaters has featured in over 25 countries and has staged well over 400 events, some of these countries include Argentina, Germany, Japan, Portugal, Turkey and Russia.

One of the biggest dates in Marcs own diary with Koolwaters was the clubs 2004 club tour in Canada, which saw Marc headline alongside Boy George and several Canadian based DJs such as Cary Chang and Amnes (Live). The tour saw Koolwaters feature at some of Canadas biggest and best dance clubs of which included The Government, Caprice, System Sound, The Standard, Vivid Session Sonar and The Whiskey Club.

As the clubs profile begins to explode Marcs own career has begun its advance to the next level, as he is once more beginning to feature on the lips of clubbers and promoters around the world.

One of Marc's most important accomplishments in 2003 was the success of Koolwaters 2nd joint festival Bug Hole, with Turkish clubbing outfit Urban Bug.
More than 20,000 people attended the festival on the Turkish coastline, with sponsorship from the likes of Coca-Cola and Smirnoff Ice. The event itself saw over 100 DJs play with acts like The Chemical Brothers and Sasha topping the bill, the night was also broadcast on MTV Asia and CNN Asia.

With Koolwaters now beginning to establish itself as one of the current market leaders in the global dance scene, having worked with artists such as The Chemical Brothers, Paul Oakenfold, Sasha, Ferry Corsten, Armin Van Buuren, Fergie, Judge Jules, Lisa Lashes, Mauro Picotto, Tall Paul and Marco V for its various club nights, tours and festivals across the globe. Marc and his dedicated team are now heavily concentrating on organizing more overseas events and festivals for 2005 and beyond, whilst continuing to build on the clubs UK success.

With future club tours planned for South and Central America, Asia, Russia, China and a host of European countries it's fair to say Marcs career and popularity is expect to hit over drive.

The Producer:
Aside from the DJ'ing, the promoting and the jetting around the globe, Marc still finds time to hold down regular radio spots and guest mixes. He also produces his own music and remix other peoples On the production front, Marc is currently in the studio with The Conductor and The Cowboy duo (Serious) working on a follow up song to the duos hugely successful Top 40 hit, Feeling This Way. The single reached number 27 in the UK Charts and was signed to 17 compilations worldwide, including the popular Annual by Ministry of Sound. Marcs own production credits, include Format (Nukleuz), DJs make a move (Loopgroove), The Poll trax which Marc co-produced with Steve Thomas, as well as re-mix work for Nu-Life, Nukleuz and Loopgroove.

2004 saw Marc mix his first artists compilation album that was a joint project between KoolWaters and Wella, who are also sponsors to Marcs DJ career. The album, named Head Filler consisted of a collection of unsigned productions by Marc himself was distributed across 1,800 salons through out the UK and also used as a promotional tool to launch a new Wella range called Head Games.
2005 has already seen one of Marcs productions being signed to the globally renowned Hed Kandi records label, the track entitled Whiteout is a joint production with Marcs studio Partner LnM Projekt who have recently had a top 40 hit with LnM Projekt feat Bonnie Bailey, "Everywhere". The Press / Television / Radio:
In the past Marc has received excellent media coverage across all reputable culture and dance music magazines such as DJ Mag. In 1999 Marc was voted in the top 50 most eligible bachelors in the UK by Company Magazine and was a centerfold feature in The Sun's top ten most eligible men. This lead to Marcs appearance on several television programs with the most notable being Channel 4s Gods Gift the show featured a selection of young bachelors who were pitted against one another for a final date with a selected female contestant. The same year also saw Marc received the following titles of DJ of the Year and DJ Face of the year on top of being dubbed the next Sasha by Mixmag.

Marc has also received similar promotional coverage whilst on international duty for such brands as Ministry of Sound, Cream, Miss Moneypennys and Slinky.

In 2001 the popular southwest radio station Galaxy 101, impressed by Marcs rise in clubland, approached him with an offer of becoming part of the new breed of presenters for the station. Marc agreed and began hosting the weekly Friday night dance show. This position last for over a year however, unfortunately due to work commitments becoming too consuming, Marc had to leave his full time slot to concentrate on a new chapter in his career.

However, in 2004 KoolWaters launched their weekly Global FM radio station that features in a variety of locations across Russia and South America. The format of the show sees a weekly guest mix with regular competitions, interviews, give-aways and weekly mix by Marc himself, the show has a predicted listenership of over 25 million people per week.

The club is in negotiations to expand the shows further afield with regular slots across Europe, Asia and North America.

Still a regular feature in many of the worlds reputable dance music and culture magazines and websites as well as appearing on radio shows across the globe, Marcs media presence has always been a growing part of his illustrious career.
