De la a fi primul DJ care a mixat o compilatie cu Sasha, lansata la Renaissance, la a deveni primul DJ britanic care are rezidenta in NYC la Twilo, John Digweed e unul dintre pionierii muzicii dance moderne si unul dintre cei care lanseaza trend-uri in acest domeniu.

Ca DJ, inventarul primelor iesiri e multe prea mare ca sa fie inclus aici. Ca producator, a remixat piese ale lui Danny Tenaglia, Underworld si New Order, ca sa dam doar cateva nume, iar single-urile lui de la Bedrock au devenit imunuri.

Popularitatea lui ca DJ si ca persoana pare sa nu aiba limite, iar eforturile pe care le face depasesc sfera Dj-ului, fiind la fel de mult si producator si promoter. Bedrock e un nume cu 3 conotatii: o casa de discuri, o companie de promovare si un studio de productie in parteneriat cu Nick Muir.
