Biografie James Lavelle

James Lavelle s-a nascut in Oxford, in 1973. El este persoana din spatele proiectului Unkle care l-a facut astazi faimos. La numai 15 ani, dupa o petrecere la care a mixat, a reusit sa stranga destui bani pentru a-si procura un set de deck-uri, punandu-se rapid pe treaba. De-a lungul timpului, James a mixat mai multe tipuri de muzica, plecand de la hip-hop si ajungand la ceea ce pune astazi, break-beat, electro si house.

James Lavelle a mixat si compilatia Global Underground 026 in Bucuresti, in clubul Studio Martin. Tot el este primul DJ care a deschis seria de compilatii Fabriclive. El conduce de aproximativ zece ani si un record label intitulat Mo Wax, un "trip-hop" label legendar.
